Ham & Lentil Soup

Ingredients Amount Variations
water 6 cups  
Ham Redibase 2 Tablespoons Low Sodium Ham Base
lentils, dried, rinsed, sorted 1 1/4 cups  
tomatoes, canned 1 (28 oz.)  
carrots, sliced 3  
celery, sliced 2 ribs  
green onions, chopped 1/4 cup  
garlic powder 1/2 teaspoons  
oregano, dried 1/2 teaspoon
ham, cooked, pieces 1 cup  
pork sausage, bulk, cooked, drained 12 oz.  
pepper, ground 1/8 teaspoon

Directions:
Place water and Ham Redibase in a stock pot. Bring to a boil and blend base well to make Ham Stock.

To Ham Stock, add lentils, tomatoes, carrots, celery, onions and seasonings; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until lentils and vegetables are tender.

Add ham, sausage and parsley. Heat through. Serve
