Lima Bean & Ham Stew

Description: Use frozen limas for this one. It just makes you life easier.
Ingredients Amount Variations
water 3 cups  
Ham Redibase 1 Tablespoon Low Sodium Ham Base
lima beans, frozen 2 pkg. 9 oz. each  
olive oil 2 Tablespoons  
ham, pieces, cooked 1/2 lb.  
onion, chopped 1 medium RC Roasted Onion Base
garlic, minced 2 cloves RC Roasted Garlic Base
celery, diced 1 cup  
carrots, sliced 1 cup  
bay leaves 1 Redibase Ground Bay Leaves
hot pepper sauce dash  

Directions:
Place water and Ham Redibase in a soup pot. Bring to a boil and blend base well to make Ham Stock.

In separate pot, heat olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic until limp. Add carrots and celery. Sauté another 3 minutes.

Add sauteed garlic, onion carrots, celery and bay leaves to stock.

Add Lima beans and simmer 15 minutes until limas are tender.

Add Ham pieces and hot sauce and serve.
