| pinto beans, canned | 15 1/2 oz. can | |
| olive oil | 2 Tablespoons | |
| ham, pieces, cooked | 1/2 lb. | |
| onion, chopped | 1 medium | RC Roasted Onion Base |
| garlic, minced | 2 cloves | RC Roasted Garlic Base |
| tomato paste | 1/4 cup | |
| bow-tie pasta or shells, cooked | 1/2 cup | measure dry, then cook in salted water. |
| black pepper, ground | 1/4 teaspoon | |

Directions: In separate pot, heat olive oil. Sauté onion and garlic until limp. Add sauteed garlic and onion to stock. Add tomato paste, beans, ham, pepper and pasta. Heat and serve.
