Leek & Potato Soup with Country Ham

Ingredients Amount Variations
water 10 cups  
Ham Redibase 3 Tablespoons Low Sodium Ham Base
cumin seeds 1 teaspoons  
fennel seeds 1 teaspoons  
fennel seeds 1 teaspoons  
olive oil 3 Tablespoons  
leeks, thinly sliced 6 cups  
potatoes, peeled and cubed 10  
ham, cooked, cubed 1 cup  
red cabbage, thinly sliced 3 cups  
     

Directions:
Place water and Ham Redibase in a soup pot. Bring to a boil and blend base well to make Ham Stock.

In separate soup pot, add olive oil. Add all seeds and toast for 2 minutes. Add Ham Stock, leeks, and potatoes. Bring to boil. Simmer until potatoes are tender.

Add cabbage and cook 5 minutes until cabbage is limp. Add ham. Heat and serve.
