Easy Veal Stew Category: beef/Soup/stew Get More Recipes

Ingredients Amount Variations
stewing veal, cubes 4 lbs.  
flour for dredging
vegetable oil 1/4 cup  
RC Veal Base 2 T. RC Beef or Pork Base
water 4 cups  
white wine 1/2 cup
carrots, diced 2  
celery, chopped 1 stalk  
parsley 2 T.  
Bay leaf 1 Ground Bay Leaves
pepper, ground 1/8 tsp.  

Directions:
Heat oil in a heavy soup pot. Dredge veal cubes in flour. Add to oil and brown, a few at a time. Remove browned veal to a bowl.

When veal is browned, add onion and garlic to pot. Stir and cook for 3 minutes until onions are limp, but garlic is not browned.

Add veal cubes to pot and add water, Redibase and white wine. Bring to a boil. Lower to simmer and cover with tight lid. Simmer for 1 hour or until veal is almost tender.

Add carrots and celery. Cook 10 minutes more. Add all seasoning. Cook 15 minutes more. Remove bay leaf. Serve.
