Ingredients Amount Variations
flour 3 T.  
pepper 1/2 tsp.  
stew meat, beef 1 lb.  
oil 2 T.  
apple cider 1 cup  
water 1/2 cup  
vinegar 1 T.  
Beef Redibase 1/2 tsp. RC Beef, Veal, Lamb or Pork Base
thyme 1/2 tsp.  
carrots, cut into 1 inch pieces 2 large  
celery, cut into 1 inch pieces 1 rib  
potato, peeled, cubed 1 large  
onion, sliced 1 medium  
     

Directions:
Toss beef and flour in a bowl to coat.

In a large soup pot, heat oil and brown beef. Add cider, water, vinegar, thyme and Redibase. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to a simmer for 1 hour and 45 minutes or until the meat is tender.

Add celery, potato and onion; return to a boil. Reduce heat; cover. Cook 20 minutes longer or until vegetables are tender.
